Think Forest Saplings might be the right fit for your little adventurer?
We’d love to get to know your family.
Choosing childcare is a big decision.
You're choosing the people who will comfort your child when they're sad, celebrate their victories, answer approximately 4,732 questions, help them navigate friendships, encourage them through hard things, and spend a pretty significant piece of their childhood beside them.
We think you should feel really good about those people.
And we want to feel like Forest Saplings is genuinely a good fit for your family too.
So before anybody signs anything or packs the extra socks, let's talk.
Forest Saplings serves children approximately 1–5 years old who are independently mobile and walking.
We're a particularly good fit for families looking for something a little different from traditional childcare.
Families who want their children outside.
Exploring.
Moving.
Building friendships.
Experiencing their community.
Learning through real life.
Getting dirty sometimes.
Being encouraged to become independent.
And still having plenty of time to simply be little.
Your child doesn't have to arrive as a fearless outdoor adventurer.
That's not the requirement.
Curiosity comes in lots of different personalities.
We'll meet your child where they are.
When you reach out, it helps if you include:
Your child's name and age
The area where you live
The day(s) you're looking for care
The hours you need care
When you'd like care to begin
Anything you'd like us to know about your child
That last one can be anything.
Maybe they're cautious around new people.
Maybe they're fearless.
Maybe they're obsessed with dinosaurs, construction vehicles, fairies, animals, rocks, or anything involving water.
Maybe they've never spent much time away from you.
Maybe they have additional needs you'd like to talk about.
Or maybe they're simply a gloriously complicated little human and you're looking for people who will take the time to get to know them.
That's exactly what we want to do.
First, we'll talk.
No elaborate admissions ceremony.
No toddler interview panel.
No requirement that your child demonstrate advanced pinecone identification.
Just a conversation.
We'll talk about your child, your schedule, your location, what you're looking for in childcare, and what Forest Saplings looks like in real life.
You'll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions too.
If it sounds like we might be a good fit for each other, we'll talk about the next steps, current availability, rates, scheduling, and the family agreement.
And we will try to work out a time and place for you and your child to meet us before their first official day.
We want children to have the chance to begin recognizing the people who are about to become part of their world.
Really.
Ask about our adventures.
Ask about safety.
Ask about food.
Ask about naps.
Ask about curriculum.
Ask what happens when somebody has a meltdown in the middle of the aquarium.
Ask what happens when your child doesn't want to leave you.
Ask why there are seventeen rocks in their backpack.
Actually, we can answer that last one now.
They were important rocks.
We want families who feel comfortable communicating with us.
That relationship starts before your child's first adventure.
Looking for Perfect?
You probably won't find it here.
Children will get muddy.
Plans will change.
Colorado will occasionally throw weather at us from several directions at once.
Someone will forget a mitten.
There will be big feelings.
There will be days when the carefully planned activity lasts seven minutes because somebody discovered something infinitely more interesting underneath a log.
That's childhood.
What we can promise is intention.
We'll plan thoughtfully.
Communicate with you.
Keep learning.
Pay attention.
Adapt when we need to.
Get to know your child.
Care deeply about the experience they're having with us.
And give them plenty of opportunities to discover just how capable they are.
Maybe Forest Saplings becomes part of your child's story for a few months.
Maybe it's a few years.
Either way, childhood moves ridiculously fast.
We'd rather spend it collecting experiences than rushing toward whatever comes next.
More puddles.
More questions.
More friendships.
More discoveries.
More “LOOK WHAT I FOUND!”
More “I DID IT!”
More ordinary little moments that somehow become the ones everyone remembers.
